As a former young adult librarian and writer of historical, contemporary and fantasy fiction for young people, I love to speak to ages nine and up about the writing process. I take my audiences on inspiring journeys down America's back roads. I show through slides, commentary and artifacts how to search out stories, and then, give voice to them.

When I visit a school, I usually present up to three forty-five minute to one hour programs. As time permits, these may include a slide show, historical artifacts, a game showing the value of primary sources, a reader's theatre, question and answer sessions and book signings. Any size audience is fine.

For schools within a two hour drive of Allentown, Pennsylvania: $1100 for a full day visit: $700.00 for a half day (2 presentations)

For more distant schools: $1250.00 a day plus all travel expenses
